Good Bye Olympics & Hello Manic Monday!
Well, it’s been a few days. My vacation is over, so it was back to work today. I was happy to see all the kiddos I work with, but no one will EVER see me complain about school vacations, or the length of them. I don’t get off during the Summer for being a personal aid, but if I did, I would love every second of it. That being said, the ending of my vacations usually ends the same each time in the colder months. Sick. Sick. Sick. So, I haven’t been cooking too much since the flu has kept me down! I’m not at the point where i have entries saved from days before and so on. Before this sickness hit, I made some delicious Garlic Knots. I believe the recipe is on the Pillsbury Website. Of course, they were easy & cheap to make. Most of the ingredients are things most people have in their pantry or fridge.
You will need:
1 package of Pillsbury Grand’s. ( The Grand Jr’s might be cute for this, for a party or event)
3 tablespoons of grated parmesan cheese. ( The sprinkle kind in the container would be fine I’m sure)
Italian Seasoning ( or just a few green herbs like parsley, basil, ect.)
1 table spoon of garlic powder ( I only had minced Garlic on hand but i suggest the powder)
1-3 tablespoons of melted butter
Take the grands out of the container and separate them. Roll each one out to about 6 inches. sprinkle with a little flour if too sticky.
Then as you would normally, tie a knot. Push one of the ends under the biscuit to hide it.
Cook according to package, but instead of cooking the whole way through, cut off about 5-8 minutes of cook time.
While the Grands are cooking, mix the herbs, cheese, and garlic powder in a small bowl.
Take the Grands out of the oven and Brush some butter onto the top of the Grands.
Sprinkle the tops with the mixture and pop them back in the oven until cooked.
Verdict: “They’re good, don’t put them away yet, i’ll take some to work.” – Hubby
